Twenty one year old Tita Lau first burst onto our screens when landing herself a slot in the X Factor live finals in 2008, as one fourth of girl group 'Girlband'. Heavily praised by mentor Louis Walsh the quartet went onto the live shows and sang in front of millions.

In 2009, GirlBand dispanded and went their separate ways to pursue other interests leaving Tita to eagerly take on the music industry alone. Here’s her story....

Born in the UK from a Chinese and English background, Tita is the middle of three sisters. Her love for music has always played a big part in her life when she began studying dance at the tender age of just two. By the age of four, she began belting out classics such as LuLu’s ‘Shout’- where she often blew people away with her huge voice.

Her influences growing up range from Michael Jackson to strong females such as Nicole Scherzinger and Beyoncé, in which she feels explains the ‘rockier’ side to her voice. With such determination, Tita has always kept her eye on the dream of stardom and continues to consistently work hard on her voice and sound. With interest coming from big names within the music industry, things are looking good for this girl and its almost certain you’ll be hearing more from her in 2010!..
